Karmic Project
The Karmic Project is a charitable non-profit for a sustainable future. Our mission is to develop technology and solutions to better connect people and resources, eliminate waste, and work toward an equitable and sustainable future for everyone.
We believe that humans are genetically evolved to live and work in a tribal society. Our emotions and feelings towards each other have evolutionary benefits. These are realized when we know the people around us, know the resources available to everyone, know how those resources are distributed and allocated, and historical records are maintained for all to see.
These basic characteristics have existed in tribal society since the beginning of civilization but have been lost in modern socio-economic models. At the same time, we recognize that tribal society is not able to function at population levels of the world today. We hope to build technology that enables the core principles of tribal society to function at macro scales, while also connecting everyone together into a global tribe of our species, rather than competing tribes of the past. We believe that this will lead to more equitable distribution of resources, basic needs being met for more people, a different form of direct democracy. Ultimately this will help to build a more civilized, interconnected, and peaceful world.
the KARMIC MODEL
The core concept of the Karmic Project and tribal socialism is the promise to “Give what you can, and get what you need.”
When a group of people come together with this promise and they fulfill it, it removes fear, violence, and uncertainty about the future.
This principal can only stand on the four pillars below;
KARMIC IDENTITY
The first pillar of tribal socialism is that of Karmic Identity. Everyone in the tribe is known to each other and has a role and purpose in the tribe.
KARMIC CONTRIBUTION
The second pillar is that each member of the tribe should contribute anything they can to the rest of the community. This can be skills, experience, knowledge, creativity, or physical resources and property.
KARMIC DISTRIBUTION
The third pillar is that within the tribe and community all resources (including skills and experience) are publicly tracked and distributed. This enables everyone to understand how contributions are rewarded and use of resources allocated in an equitable and consistent manner.
KARMIC HISTORY
The fourth and final pillar is all social contributions and transactions are recorded and available to all for viewing. There is no anonymous participation or transactions within the tribe as these lead to mistrust, fraud, and theft, and hording from the community.
This project is very new and growing rapidly. We don’t know that we have “The Answer”, but we do believe that our current path of unfettered capitalism and consumption is leading us to a path of destruction and massive human suffering on scales we have never seen. We believe that it is time to try something new with the belief that embracing our evolution as a species can lead to the next evolution and the eventual enlightenment of everyone. At that point, we will be ready to master all the resources of our solar-system and move beyond it to join the universe in further discovery and exploration.
